Open Access Room-Acoustical Model Investigations with the Pulse Test Method for the Rebuilt Congress and Concert Hall in the “Haus des Lehrers” at Berlin, Alexanderplatz

An important aid for the room-acoustical treatment of complicated architectural projects are acoustical models. They give a survey of the acoustical properties to be expected in the original room and indicate possibly necessary modifications.

In the present work, room-acoustical measurements are described at a model of the “Haus des Lehrers”, Berlin. The results of close cooperation with the group of architects are reported. The experimental investigations have been performed with the pulse test method developed at the Institute.
