Open Access Harmonic Analysis of Tone Obtained by Different Methods of Exciting a Guitar String

The effect of the place and the method of exciting the string on the quality of instrument tone was investigated. The data for all characteristic harmonics obtained under these changes and the spectra obtained are given. The spectra obtained by the excitation of the string were compared in the same way at the hole and on the remote side. The spectra of tone produced at the same place in the three ways of producing tone with the guitar were also presented and compared by finger-tip, nail and apoyanda.
