An apparatus for the determination of the shear modulus of polymers
A forced-vibration pendulum is briefly described, which is capable of exciting torsional vibrations of sample rods from d.c. to approximately 60 Hz over a wide temperature range. Torsional amplitude and moment are detected with separate transducers and the output voltages from these
transducers may be displayed on an oscilloscope for evaluation.
