Messungen zur Schallabsorption von Polsterstiihlen mit und ohne Personen

Following the previously communicated procedure — enclosing a small group of people or upholstered chairs with boards in a reverberation chamber — it is possible to determine correctly the sound absorption properties of a large area of free and occupied upholstered chairs. Datas are given for the absorption properties of free and occupied well-upholstered chairs. Moreover the additional sound absorption of seats along aisles and of the first row of seats is given. The data for twelve chairs in the reverberation chamber agreed well with those ascertained for 1200 chairs in the large music studio in Hanover.
