Zur subjektiven Wirkung von Schallfeldern in Räumen (Rückverdek-kung, Phantomschallquellen)

A report is given of recent measurements on backward masking. Free field measurements were made with pulses of white noise. Pulse duration, intensity and direction of incidence were varied.

Furthermore the masking effect of imaginary sound sources was investigated as a function of the direction of incidence. The imaginary sound sources were realized by means of two identically fed loudspeakers connected in parallel.
