The widely excepted opinion that the sound characteristics of aqueous solutions, especially those of alcohols, for a certain concentration and arbitrary temperatures have a common intersection is not correct. The existence of such point of intersection over a wider range of temperatures is impossible because of the non-linear dependence of the velocity of sound of water on temperature.
