Messungen der Schallstreuung an Flachen mit periodiseh weohselnder Impedanz (Phasengitt)
Acoustical phase lattices were constructed of HELMHOLTZ resonators tuned to different frequencies. The angular energy distribution of a quasi-plane sound wave refracted at the lattice was measured and from this a scattering coefficient was derived, which indicates the amount of energy scattered into directions other than that of the geometric reflection. The scattering coefficient is studied as a function of the phase difference of the waves reflected at different impedances, of the geometric parameters of the lattice, and of the angle of incidence. For a number of cases the angular energy distribution has been displayed as a so-called “scattering diagram” in polar coordinates.
