Open Access Vinfluence du couplage acoustique sur Vimpedance electrique des ecouteurs

Download Article:
The international standardisation of the artificial ear has occupied certain international organisations for several months and the definition in a form acceptable to the majority of the countries still seems difficult to specifiy. In order to make a contribution to this problem, we have tried to measure what could be the influence of acoustic coupling on the electrical impedance of listeners to try to differentiate and compare different models of couplers to the artificial ear of C.N.E.T. The results, given in 10 tables, seem to show very definitely that the intrinsic and instantaneous variation of the electrical impedance of a listener is due to various causes (temperature — humidity — the suspension — the membrane — mechanical vibrations…) is such that the variations due to acoustic coupling could not permit a comparison between various types of couplers and the human ear.
