Zur Spektralstruktur der /r/-Allophone des Deutschen
In order to estimate the spectra of allophonic variants of the German /r/ phoneme, visiblespeech- analyses of specially chosen words, spoken by people living in the environment of Cologne, are made. The allophones [R] and [D] are characterised by movement of the first and second formants — centering for the former round 430 and 1100 c/s and for the latter 650 and 1 250 c/s. Finally the distinctive characteristics of unstressed final /er/ and final /r/ are found and related to unstressed final /e/.
