Measurements on damping materials sprayed on steel tubes
Some experiments are described, concerning tubes vibrating longitudinally, sprayed with damping materials. The results fit a simple theory, allowing the elastic parameters of the damping material and its efficacy when the metallic support is not completely sprayed to be calculated.
