Über die Dämpfung der Biegeschwingungen dünner Bleche durch fest haftende Beläge

The bending vibrations of thin sheet metal covered at one side by an adhesive layer of a damping material are treated theoretically. Measurements confirm the theoretical results. The investigation of a large number of damping materials results in a survey of their dynamical properties and of their damping efficiency on sheet metal. The results of practical importance are extensively discussed.
