Recent trends in USAID forest funding
This paper examines the role of a major international donor, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID2), and its financial contribution to forest projects worldwide. First, I describe the role of USAID, then examine recent trends in budgets for environmental,
and in particular forest-related projects, and compare funding with the overseas development assistance of other major aid agencies.
