"Romanistik in Geschichte und Gegenwart" provides semi-annually information on current research approaches and important results from all areas of Romance linguistics. Each issue contains articles, reviews, a short overview about current contributions to the Romance studies in other journals, and a portrait.

"Romanistik in Geschichte und Gegenwart" liefert zweimal jährlich Informationen über aktuelle Forschungsansätze und wichtige Resultate aus allen Bereichen der Romanistischen Sprachwissenschaft. In jedem Heft finden sich Fachaufsätze, Besprechungen, eine Kurzvorstellung aktueller romanistischer Beiträge in der Rubrik Zeitschriftenschau sowie ein Portrait.
