What's in a name? NDT training and levels of qualification
It has always bothered me that, routinely, people trained and examined into employer-based programmes designate themselves ASNT Level 1 or 2. I have also had concerns over the misuse of the term ASNT Level 3, either by mischief or honest misunderstanding. The paper presented here is
reprinted from the ASNT Journal Materials Evaluation and is a timely reminder of acceptable and unacceptable terms in this respect.
