A Study on the Influence and the Countermeasure of Methanol Gasoline and Its Combustion Products on the Engine Sensor Exhaust Valve

Based on the influence of methanol gasoline and its combustion products on gasoline engine system material, this article analyzes the harm to automobile engine and reveals methanol gasoline and its combustion products' corrosion to gasoline engine metallic materials through tests. It applies the surface coverage-oxyacetylene flame welding technology to the surface strengthening of the sensor exhaust valve and demonstrates its feasibility through a combination of strength, metallographic analysis, wear resistance test and the actual running test. The results show that the scheme is technically feasible, which solves the corrosion of methanol gasoline to sensor exhaust system material and improves the reliability of the car.
