Electrical and Structural Properties of Round Textured Pyramid Solar Cells for Maglev
We investigated the electrical and structural properties of the pyramids round textured on a heterojunction photovoltaic cell. N-type Si substrates were pyramid textured using IPA and KOH. After the texturing, the pyramid peaks were rounded using HF, HNO3, and CH3COOH. Both the pyramid textured and pyramid round textured substrates were deposited with intrinsic a-Si:H with a 10 nm thickness via plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition. The lifetime of the pyramid-textured and pyramid-rounded textured solar cell were 694 μs and 1943 μs, respectively. The efficiency of the pyramid-textured substrate was 5.78% while that of the pyramidrounded textured substrate was 15.72%.
