An arrangement with two polarizing beam splitters is considered which allows to perform a non-perturbative post-measurement on the photon. By post-measuring vibration modes of the detector due to the different transverse momenta of the photons going along different legs one can obtain which way information. After two successive passages of the photon through the arrangement one can obtain information about polarization of the photon without destroying the initial state of the photon. The arrangement may be used to perform an intercept-resend attack on the quantum key distribution protocol BB84.
