Research on Photovoltaic Power System DC/DC Controller

The focus of independent solar power system research is the DC/DC controller. It mainly includes photovoltaic array maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and battery charge and discharge management. First, a global variable step-size conductance increment method with a stable operating point judgment is proposed to implement the photovoltaic array MPPT. Under the circumstances of the fixed external environment and the change of the environment, a simulation comparison is made with the traditional conductance increment method. The results show that the global variable step-by-step conductance increment method quickly and stably outputs the maximum power under various external environmental changes. Then, a dual half-bridge bi-directional DC/DC converter is used to charge the battery in four stages. A charge and discharge simulation model of the battery is established. The discharge simulation waveform of the battery in the Boost mode is given. The simulation results verify the correctness and feasibility of the theory.
