In networking domain one of the most challenging techniques is wireless sensor networking. Computer networks are used to transmit a lot of sensitive data among more kind of computer devices, from huge servers to mobile devices and minicomputers. Even though more kind of security systems, like firewalls, access control and encryption are utilized, network security systems increase day by day. Therefore, there is an urgent need of intrusion detection system to detect the new intrusions automatically. The IDS may play a significant role in detecting and preventing security attacks. In the intrusion detection system there are different types which are signature IDS (Intrusion Detection System) and anomaly IDS etc. By taking the benefits of both the methods a best hybrid intrusion detection system is implemented. In this paper we are using hybrid intrusion detection system and zone based AODV routing protocol for the mobile Ad-hoc networks. The zone routing protocol has two types which are proactive and reactive routing protocols. Here we are improving the intrusion detection by using the best features of proactive and reactive routing protocols and detecting the attacks happened on the MANETs (Mobile Ad-hoc Networks).
