This paper analyzed the innovative cooperation network of integrated circuit (IC) industry in different development stages of China. Through the patent cooperation data of Chinese IC industry during 1996–2015, we used the social network analysis method to calculate the characteristic indexes of the innovative cooperation network in each stage, and analyzed the evolution of them. Through research we found that in general the innovative cooperation network of Chinese IC industry was not very efficient. The evolution of the innovative cooperation network can be prominently influenced by the market and policy environment. 2001–2007 and 2012–2015 were two stages of the rapid development of Chinese IC innovation. But compared these two stages, the core organizations of the cooperation network have changed from original foreign enterprises to domestic enterprises.
