Soft biometrics era using facial image processing becomes an essential part of day to day life. To improve the surveillance of data, automatic face and gender classification will be constructive for accessing the device. This work mainly contributed face and gender detection in a region of a colourful environment. The face detection process is done through Spectral Colour Clustered-Face Detection technique (SCC-FD). Next gender classification process uses the technique of Rayleigh Regional Geometric Classifier (RRGC) for classifying two classes either as male or female. Faces94 dataset is used for this implementation. Here the experimental result shows that the proposed work is better when compared to the existing system.
