Manual order picking system in the key optimization goal is walking the shortest path, in order to achieve walking minimum time. In this paper, under sorted-storage, S-type path distribution center, the additional distance of order picking random model is improved. It makes model approximation calculation and simulation result under two cases of order arrival frequencies and space ratio. The conclusion is that the improved model can better fit the actual situation. Improved model provides a reference for the further optimization of the manual picking path.
