Experimental Research Into Human Factor Analysis of Sorting Fatigue
The study proposes a test of human physiology and psychology in sorting. Four subjects with different physical conditions first completed a fatigue assessment instrument (FAI) and an E-Prime fatigue measurement and then accomplished express sorting work. Subsequently, they finished
the E-Prime psychological measurement. We found that psychological factors are the main ones affecting sorting efficiency and that females had a better performance in the sorting process. In addition, we discovered that after a work period of 40 minutes, a 10-minute break reduced psychological
fatigue and the sorting error rate.
