Mixed Convection Heat Transfer Performance in a Ventilated Inclined Cavity Containing Heated Blocks: Effect of Dispersing Al2O3 in Water and Aspect Ratio of the Block

In the present paper, mixed convection fluid flow and heat transfer in a ventilated square cavity containing two heated blocks has been investigated numerically. The cavity subjected to an external Al2O3–water nanofluid while temperature and nanoparticles concentration dependent on thermal conductivity and effective viscosity inside a square enclosure. The governing equations were solved using the finite volume method and SIMPLER algorithm. The natural convection effect is created by heating from the blocks located on the bottom wall and cooling from the inlet flow. Using the developed FORTRAN code, the effect of Richardson number, the aspect ratio of heated blocks and solid volume fraction of nanoparticle in cavity inclination angle equal to 60 have been investigated. Various findings for the streamlines and isotherms as well as the average Nusselt numbers are presented.
