Hierarchical tetragonous-nanoprism-clusters SnO2 have been prepared by hydrothermal method with surfactantfree. A possible growth mechanism is proposed and the excellent cycling stability and high rate property of hierarchical tetragonous-nanoprism-clusters SnO2 in Li-ion battery as anode materials were also studied.
