Creep is one of the important properties of concrete. Effect of limestone powder (LP) and metakaolin (MK) on creep characteristics of self-consolidating concrete (SCC) has been investigated by nanoindentation and the self-made loading device with the pressure sensor. The results indicate that elastic modulus of LP is relatively high; the combined addition of 20% LP and 10% MK can increase the volume fractions of HD C-S-H in C-S-H to make for reducing creep of SCC, compared with that of SCC with 10% LP and 10% MK; however, creep is increased slightly with the excessive LP because of the reduction of strength. The short-term creep during nanoindentation can characterize the creep of SCC indirectly.
