To prevent spread out of dengue fever and zyka, fogging is carried out to kill the mosquito of Aedes aegypti. But the formulation of liquid insecticide is usually only kill the mosquito but not the larvae in the water. Therefore it is needed to seek the emulsion of insectiside that will kill the larvae in the water. In the emulsion formulation, the important point is unite insoluble matter become a homogeny and stable formulation for long period. The selection of emulsifier type is very important because it is influenced by quality and EC formulation stability. The result of present work revealed that the best formula is 15% propoxure, 4% malathion, 6% perytroid, 20% DBS, 50% Xyline dan 5% additive (%w/w). Emulsion stability tests run in oil and water phase showed that terpentine is best solvent because it is more stable in the emulsion form, separated oil percentage at concentration 3 mg/l was 40% in water phase with oil phase, while coaslence between droplet formed micro emulsion in water phase, there no seperation in the water at emulsifier concentration of 3 ppm. The efficacy test in glass chamber using sprayer method, the best dose concentration was 0,5–0,25% (v/v), for mosquito and larvae of Aedes aegypti (45–90% mortality at 24 hours).
