Strategic Analysis of the Logistics Industry in Indonesia

This paper deals with issues of strategic management, particularly strategic planning and implementation in the logistics industry in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze the internal and external conditions and formulate a business strategy. It is based on empirical results of SWOT, IFE Matrix, EFE Matrix and QSPM Matrix. The methodology includes an empirical study that was conducted in logistics companies in Indonesia. The method used for collecting data was by interview, questionnaire, and survey to the internal parties of the company. The data obtained was analyzed using IFE Matrix, EFE Matrix, SWOT, IE, Grand Strategy, and QSPM. The result of this research shows that in order to achieve targets and expand in the logistics industry, the company should implement a product development strategy.
