Industrial Training Framework to Enhance the Quality of Generic Skills

This study aims to build a framework for the implementation of Industrial Training to improve the quality of generic skills. The research sample consists of 9 experts from electrical and electronic industry, 4 experts from four MTU universities lecturers and 297 are MTU engineering students. The research design uses sequential exploratory mixed methods including qualitative and quantitative approaches. The methodology used to develop the framework for implementation of Industrial Training to improve the quality of generic skills is Fuzzy Delphi Method. The development of the framework involve three phases. The Fuzzy Delphi Method was employed for first and second phase. Meanwhile, the third phase is a survey method using questionnaire instrument to verify the elements of the proposed framework. Phase one employed thematic analysis to analyze the interviews. The second phase employed Triangular Fuzzy Number and Defuzzification analysis to obtain experts consensus. Lastly, Confirmatory Factor Analysis was conducted for the third phase to confirm the framework of the implementation of Industrial Training to improve the quality of generic skills.
