Knowledge’s Level of Reproductive Age Women About Miscarriage in Makasar District Health Center in 2017

Miscarriage is still a major problem in Indonesia, failed management could lead to prolonged morbidity. The knowledge of reproductive age women has an impact on the success of the management and to the awareness that brings them to seek medical assistance. The goal of this research is to assess the level of knowledge of reproductive age woman about miscarriage. A cross-sectional study with consecutive sampling technique. The study was conducted in Makassar District Health Center, using validated questionnaires. Data analyzed using chi-square test. It showed that 83,8% reproductive age women in Makasar District were less or equal to 35 years old. Level of education is mostly senior high school (66,7%), occupation mostly as a housewife (84,8%), multigravida (54,3%), and mostly do not have miscarriage history (83,8%). Multigravida women had better miscarriage knowledge compare to nulliparous and primigravida ones (P<0,05). There is no significant difference of miscarriage knowledge among age groups and level of educations.
