Thai alphabet handwriting practice is essential for elementary classroom. In the modern day, it is more convenient and efficient to practice handwriting on mobile devices. This work aims to develop Thai handwriting program which can automatically return the writing quality evaluation. The evaluation module makes writing progress analysis available and valuable. The module allows interactive learning; making the program more attractive for young students. The computation of the line drawing similarity score is based on dynamic time warping (DTW) technique. We designed the 18 test patterns of frequent drawing behaviors for the system validation. The experimental results show that preschool children can use the developed system without any assistance and the DTW technique offers intuitive way to evaluate handwriting quality.
