Psychometric Properties on ISIS in Measuring Spiritual Quotient (SQ) Among Polytechnic Students Using Rasch Measurement Model

This study is aimed to examine the psychometric characteristics of the Integrated Spiritual Intelligence Scale (ISIS) items using the Rasch model in the context of polytechnics students. A total of 160 students from Politeknik Sultan Azlan Shah was selected using purposive sampling technique. Spiritual Quotient (SQ) was measured by five constructs of consciousness, grace, meaning, transcendence and truth. The findings showed five items were dropped. A total of 39 items was found to have met the main assumptions of Rasch model such as item fit, unidimensionality, local independence, and item polarity. This inventory had a high reliability and validity to prove that suitability of applications among polytechnic students. Thus, this study provided a significant contribution to the aspect of the SQ measurement item using the Rasch model for use in the context of the polytechnics students in Malaysia.
