Developing Norms for Selected Physical Fitness Battery as Gauge for Fitness Assessment Among Army Reserve Officer Training Unit Cadet

The aim of this study is to develop norm for physical fitness among Army Reserve Officer Training Unit Cadet Malaysia. Seven selected physical fitness test battery will be used to the subject to develop the norm through this study. 443 respondent (N = 443) which male 212 (N = 212) and female 231 (N = 231) will be selected to this study including Army Reserve Officer Training Unit Cadet of National Defense University of Malaysia. 2.4 km run, push up 1 minute, sit up 1 minute, standing long jump, sit and reach, speed 30 meter and height and weight will be used as a instrument for this study. The methodology will be adopted for this study is quantitative research in the form of a quasi-experiment. Quasi-experimental methods that will be used to measure and evaluate the level of physical fitness and develop Physical Fitness norms. The design of an upcoming study is quasi-experimental study design with pre-test and post-test. The study design is quasi-experimental research design in which the data is obtained through the practical test in the field. The data will be analyzed using the SPSS software version 20 to calculate the mean, standard deviation, percentage and percentile for develop physical fitness norm for Army Reserve Officers Training Unit Cadet Malaysia. The implication at this study is that the develope of standard physical fitness norm is able to identify the level of physical fitness among Army Reserve Officer Training Unit Cadet Malaysia.
