Comparative Analysis of the Organizational Commitment Among Administrators and Teachers in an Urban and a Rural High School in the Philippines

This paper attempted to reveal the level of commitment of administrators and teachers of two (2) public high schools in the Philippines. It highlighted the overall commitment of department heads in all academic departments and teachers in three aspects: affective, continuance and normative. It investigated the different aspects that administrators and teachers demonstrate a very high level down to the very low level of commitment in their respective schools. The comparative analysis of the results of commitment from the two sets of participants has also been evaluated to look for the significant difference of those who are handling administrative position from those in the teaching position. It finally found out if there is significant difference in organizational commitment of people from these two different public secondary schools which are differently located in highly urbanized and rural areas.
