Boundary Layer Flow and Heat Transfer of a Nanofluid Over a Moving Permeable Surface

A steady two-dimensional laminar boundary layer flow over a permeable moving surface in a nanofluid is investigated. The partial differential equations are transformed into a system of ordinary (similarity) differential equations using a similarity transformation. These equations along with the boundary conditions are solved numerically using a boundary value problem solver (bvp4c) in Matlab. Copper nanoparticle is mixed in the water base fluid with Prandtl number Pr = 6.2. The effects of solid volume fraction and suction/injection parameters in the presence of internal heat generation on the skin friction, heat transfer and the velocity and the temperature profiles are illustrated. Suction and nanoparticle parameters increase the skin friction but decrease the magnitude of heat transfer rate and those parameters help to widen the solutions domain.
