The Importance of Good Governance Implementation in the Legislative Institutions
In the new order of government, legislative bodies at central level (DPR) and the region (DPRD) is under the shadow of executive power. At that time legislative bodies, at both central and local levels, is unable to perform its oversight function. It shows that the DPR/DPRD are not able to apply the principles of good governance. Reformation demands that was carried by the students in 1998, wants the legislative bodies actually carry out their duties as representatives of the people. To analyze the phenomena that appear, this study used qualitative methods, where data was taken as a result of the observation and literature study. This study shows that the situation legislative bodies continued to show progress, there is a desire to improve the institution, besides that there is an attempt to apply the principles of good governance in legislative bodies.
