Design, Manufacture and Finite Element Analysis of a Small-Scale Ladder-Secondary Double-Sided Linear Induction Motor

Double-Sided Linear Induction Motor with ladder secondary offer some benefits to replace a rotary motor for driving the linear movement in machine tools. This paper proposes design of a physical of double-sided Linear Induction machine (DSLIM), manufacture it and FEM analysis as verification process. The design study is carried out and verified using FEM-software and experimental verification in Laboratory of MMM Department University of Wollongong. The designed results of the DSLIM consist of two sides moving parts in those are placed some coils flowed three phases AC electrical Signals.
