Information System to Support Health School Unit at Klaten Regency Health Office

Background: The implementation of school health unit (UKS) aims to improve the quality of education and learning achievements of students by improving the cleanliness and healthy behaviors. Two main constraints on health school unit evaluation program were the incompleteness of data reporting and the absence of reporting form, such as health school unit strata. UKS evaluation program could not be fully implemented by health office in Klaten regency. Additionally, UKS could not be evaluated periodically because the information could not be accessed at real-time. This study aimed to develop and implement an information system to support the evaluation of UKS in Klaten Regency Health Office. Method: This study used system development life cycle and the qualitative approach. The research variables are the quality aspects of completeness of information, namely accessibility, clarity, accuracy and timeliness. Results: The new developed web information system can process all aspects of UKS to report the recapitulation from each school and public health center to Klaten Health Office. This new information system also increased the quality aspects of the information which was weighted average from 2,38 to 2.6, with the margin of 0.22. Conclusion: The new web information system on UKS can be used as the information to support the evaluation of Health School Unit.
