This paper proposed the Operations Management Performance Spreadsheet (OMPS) as a tool to assess students’ performance in the course of Operations Management. Operations Management is one of the challenging courses offered to diploma and degree level students of the Faculty of Business Management, UiTM. This is because students need to study both the business operation theories and calculations. Due to the course difficulty, OMPS was developed to improve students’ understanding as well as their performances. From this study, the impact of OMPS application among Diploma students at UiTM Pahang was explored and gathered. The findings showed a decrease on students’ failure rate which was less than 3 percent in 2014. Furthermore, the use of OMPS in the course showed a positive outcome as it permitted students’ and lecturer’s opinions towards the application of OMPS, as a contract in fixing the passing rate by allowing lecturer’s interventions wherever necessary and as an alternative approach in Operations Management course. The proposed OMPS approach could be considered as a useful and effective assessment tool in providing feedback towards enhancing students’ performance.
