Autobiographical Narrative Approach: Life Story in Malaysia Contemporary Visual Art
Autobiographical narrative is defined as a memoir used to designate a story from life. Mostly the broadest range of personal narrative ended in life history as every individual character has differences in naturalistic memory and personality from their life story. The dichotomy of creative processes is embedded with practices and life in line with certain themes in historical-artistic reflection over the centuries. In Contemporary Visual Art, autobiographical still relevant towards relation among people with different background and art creation as to document and share the life story. In Malaysia, the art scenario shows assured possibility in directing the meaning of the artwork with the attention of composing imagery. Even though the making process has a different approach, but the outcome still displays any influences from the west creation, and the presentation. By that, the intention of this research is to share the formal, stylistic and pattern of how autobiography be visualized in Malaysia’s Contemporary art.
