The Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept that describes an environments where things will be connected to the Internet and will be able to identify themselves with other things. This paper describes an IoT Quality of Services (QoS) model to add the element of quality to an earlier research for enabling quality of data/events/services based on the Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard. The DDS QoS model is a set of classes which are derived from DDS QoS Policy. The DDS QoS Policy controls a specific aspect of the behavior of the service/data/events according to the characteristics of things. This paper also propose a QoS-aware middleware for enabling quality of data/events/services in the IoT. Lastly, we concludes with general remarks and a discussion of future works.
