The software failure model was used to the infinite failure non-homogeneous Poisson process property and the parameter estimation using the maximum likelihood estimation was accompanied, for the analysis of a software cost model considering various parameters of the Lomax distribution. This paper was discussed the relationship for the between release time and the optimal release time for the minimizing cost of software development for getting more profit. Finally according to some empirical studies, this paper directly was illustrated an effect of the different parameters on the optimal software release time during the testing phase. This research can be helped to the software developers for identify software development cost.
