The Architecture Design of Internet of Things Device Mesh Based on Linked Open Data Virtualization

According to the Gartner, 6.8 billion connected things will be in use in 2016, and it will reach 20.8 billion by 2020. Thus, many prominent experts and researchers have been considered Internet of Things as the most important technology in recent years. However, existing technologies in internet of things have interoperability limitations across diverse devices due to different standards such as platforms and protocols and processing limitations with limited computing resources for rapidly increasing data. In addition, large-scale and varied data generated from things has problems to be connected with each other and it makes duplicate data and provides only simple structured information. To solve these problems occurred in internet of things, in this paper, we proposed the architecture which virtualize IoT devices as Linked Open Data on the cloud. The proposed architecture overcomes processing limits that IoT devices have and provides interoperability between platforms and protocols by LOD virtualization. At the same time, it connects all of data as constructing IoT device mesh and provides intelligent information by assigning autonomous.
