Design of Modular Structure Using in Application of Joint Motion and Emotional Expression

This paper deals with intelligent modular robot that can express the various shapes with combination. It is designed to act several motions after building some structure through separation and assembling. Using the unique docking mechanism and separation method, it builds the special creature and expresses some motions, but also generates special sounds and shows the various visual effects. All the detailed design of the unit modular cell is described and explained how to make combination and separation of the units. In order to verify the validness of design structure, joint motion is performed with multiple modules and emotional motion is followed by using special modules with sensual effects. As a result the suggested mechanism can be applied in the various motions related with emotional behavior successfully.
