Dielectric Behaviour of Halloysite Nanotubes Filled Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Copolymer Vulcanizates
Organic–inorganic vulcanizates of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) filled with halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) from 0–10 phr concentration were prepared by solution casting method. The dielectric permittivity, dielectric loss tangent (tan δ), dielectric modulus spectra, impedance spectra and electrical conductivity of the EVA/HNTs vulcanizates were analyzed in the frequency range 100 Hz–1 MHz. A connection between the real part of dielectric permittivity and the polymer chain fragmentary mobility of EVA/HNTs vulcanizates was suggested as function of HNTs. The result confirms that the real part of dielectric permittivity of the vulcanizates can be custom-made by changing HNTs concentration to be used as nano-dielectric materials in the microelectronic technology.
