The paper discusses theoretical principles and practical implementation of the model-centred physics instruction with the help of information and communication technologies (ICT). The approach uses physical modelling as a base activity, which links the logic of physical research, psychological and pedagogical aspects of teaching physics and ways of their implementation by means of ICT. Theoretical principles are revealed on the samples of construction and study of physical models in the developed by authors educational environment DEMO.
