Heavy Metals Concentration in the Muscle Tissues of Otolithes ruber in Bushehr Port
The mercury, cadmium and lead levels of the 18 samples of Otolithes ruber species as the most consumed fish of Bushehr port (in Iran) were studied to estimate the risk of human consumption and pollution of Persian Gulf. The samples were taken in summer and winter of 2010 and
the mean concentration of mercury, cadmium and lead were determined as 0.0689±0.0062, 0.0100±0.0011 and 0.0558±0.0032 μg g−1 wet weights, respectively.
