This study aims to analyze stresses generated in a driving assembly for a BMT turret and to optimize the geometrical parameters. Firstly, three-dimension finite element models of the driving assembly and solution methods are defined. Then the static, dynamic and fatigue behavior of the driving assembly are analyzed by using ANSYS/Workbench. After the dynamic analysis of the driving assembly, natural frequencies and corresponding modal shapes are obtained. Finally, the geometrical parameters for the driving assembly are optimized.
