Design and Output Characterization of Ferrofluid Acceleration Sensor

The paper presents a new type of ferrofluid acceleration sensor. The force between inertial magnet and repulsion magnet is computed by numerically calculation, and then the relationship between acceleration and displacement of inertial mass is obtained. The influence of the acceleration and volume of ferrofluids on output voltage of ferrofluid acceleration sensor are studied theoretically and experimentally, the experimental data is in a good accordance with numerical calculation.
