Uniform Inorganic–Organic Hybrid Nanobelts of [ZnSe](Diethylenetriamine)0.5 in Binary Solution
A simple and convenient synthetic approach for producing high-quality inorganic–organic hybrid nanobelts has been developed. Uniform hybrid nanobelts of [ZnSe](DETA)0.5 have been synthesized using a binary solution composed of diethylenetriamine (DETA) and deionized
water. Their morphology and optical property investigation were studied. Scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy images showed that nanobelts of [ZnSe](DETA)0.5 were obtained by varying the temperature of the hydrothermal reaction and the time of the DETA
treatment. UV-Vis spectra of the product showed that the product exhibited the excellent and magnificent quantum size effects compared to bulk ZnSe. Strong band-edge absorption peak at 295 nm is also observed on UV-Vis spectra. The controlled solvothermal synthesis of nanobelts of [ZnSe](DETA)0.5
may provide a general route to prepare rationally other 1D hybrid nanocrystals.
